Footloose Sports has become synonymous with bootfitting and custom orthotics. For over 20 years we have successfully provided service to thousands of customers. We continuously expand our knowledge base through our clientele, Superfeet and our own R & D crew. We have helped thousands of people, with thousands of different feet, including professional skiers and folks with challenging medical conditions.

Most skiers do need some kind of boot work, and almost everyone will benefit from the support and stabilization of a custom footbed like the Superfeet orthotics we fabricate.

Bootfitting Boot Repair

The nucleus of Footloose is the boot room, where the science of bio- mechanics is applied to. This has grown from a humble three orthotic benches in a hole-in-the-wall shop to its current landmark stature in the town and the sports industry. The work we do in this still relatively small part of the store sets us apart to this day. We guarantee all our work- if you purchase new boots from us, we guarantee the fit for one year (we'll do all the fine-tuning for a year), two years if you also purchase a Superfeet orthotic.

People come to Mammoth from all points of the compass to benefit from the skills developed and evolved in our boot room. Other practitioners of the trade send us the more difficult and complex fitting problems. Customers walk (occasionally limp) into Footloose every season determined that if they can't get fit here they will give up skiing. Many become our most ardent supporters. This confidence comes from our dedication to providing the best service to our customers, advancing ideas founded on sound principles, principals that are refined through daily practice and our commitment to the continuation of excellence.

Our Boot Department offers:

1. Our 'Try Before You Buy' demo program
   -work with a bootfitter and ski on different boots from a wide selection to get the best fit for you.
2. Custom-molded Superfeet Orthotic Footbeds
   -for ski and snowboard boots, as well as running, hiking, and bking shoes. Superfeet support and stabilize your feet for better joint alignment, comfort, and athletic performance.
3. Aftermarket custom liners from Zipfit and several other brands.
   - Fitting and repair for telemark, snowboard and hiking boots.
4. Custom foam liner injection.
   -A wide assortment of replacement parts (buckles, heels and toes etc.) for many models.
5. Race boot service- including "plug" boot fitting, sole planing and custom sole lifts.
   -Hydraulic expansion, cuff canting, sole canting, shell grinding, liner stretching, buckle re-location, shell riveting, and the dark art of liner shimming.
6. Relief.
